Footwear, apparel and accessories launches
Rothy’s used almost a decade of customer feedback to design the third iteration of The Point flat, a customer favorite women’s shoe. It now has a sleeker silhouette due to its refined shape and lower V-shaped topline, and it’s more comfortable and supportive with the addition of Achilles cushioning and a redesigned heel — these features help prevent rubbing while keeping your feet in place, according to the brand. There’s extra cushioning throughout the rest of the shoe, too, plus better arch support from the insole and a roomier toe box.
Hulken’s rolling tote is an NBC Selected staff-favorite product, and the brand just released a wheel-less bag. It has wide straps you can hold or put over your shoulder, and there’s a small internal pocket with a zipper that’s ideal for wallets, keys, phones and more. The bag is roomy and lightweight, too.
Daphne, Paige DeSorbo’s loungewear brand, just came out with the Ribbed Collection, a suite of new styles for your fall. Pieces are made with soft, breathable, textured fabric that toes the line between stretchy and structured, letting you feel cozy while looking pulled together. The Ribbed Collection includes five styles: the En Route Turtleneck, Sky Cardigan, Jet Lag Pant, Elsewhere Tank and Layover Cardigan.

Tech launches
The AirPods 5 have up to 1.5 times stronger noise cancellation compared to previous models, according to the brand, as well as dynamic head tracking and adaptive audio that automatically switches between active noise cancellation and transparency modes. The earbuds have an IP57 rating for dust, sweat, and water resistance. They also offer hands-free Siri access and real-time Live Translation, with up to 4 hours of battery life. You can buy the AirPods 5 with a standard or wireless charging case.
NBC Selected senior editor Shalwah Evans tried out the AirPods 5 after receiving a pair from the brand and immediately noticed that the open earbuds fit more comfortably than previous models. “I feel like the opening of my ear canal is tiny and a lot of buds just don’t fit well, so I was pleasantly surprised that these pods with no rubber tip didn’t budge,” she says. “I also love how crisp the ambient sound is when ANC is turned off, which is a huge plus for when I’m walking my dog and need to be aware of my surroundings crossing busy streets.”
Apple’s new iPhone 18 Pro looks similar to the previous model, but it has the brand’s new A20 Pro chip and is built on a 2-nanometer process, along with a variable-aperture 48-megapixel main camera for better low-light and depth control. There’s also a Max version of the phone. The biggest difference is screen size — the Pro has a 6.3-inch screen compared to the Max’s 6.9-inch screen — and battery life (24 hours versus 30, respectively).
Additionally, Apple announced that it’s releasing its first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo. Pre-orders start on October 16.
Apple’s Series 12 Watch pairs a redesigned Health Sensing System and new S11 chip with much more frequent monitoring — think background heart rate readings every five seconds and HRV checks up to every five minutes, 60 times more often than the Series 11, according to the brand. All of this is analyzed to provide you with a new morning readiness score based on activity, vitals and sleep. There are also new AI features tied to the updated Siri, including Live Rewind, which replays the last 15 seconds of audio, and Siri Recap, which summarizes conversations the watch hears (you program this feature). The smartwatch comes in eight finishes, including two ceramic options.
Sony updated three of its popular over-ear headphones with enhanced features and new colors: The WH-CH530 is the most budget-friendly at under $100, while the WH-CH730N and WH-1000XM4C are pricier, but still under $300.
The WH-CH530 is the most straightforward pair of headphones. They reduce noise, and the brand increased their battery life to 55 hours while improving call quality. “The sound on these is surprisingly exceptional considering there’s no active noise canceling,” says Evans, who tried them at a recent press event for the brand.
The WH-CH730 is a middle of the road option. It has effective noise-cancelling technology, increased battery life up to 50 hours, a foldable design and customizable audio settings via the brand’s app. Finally, the WH-1000XM4 is the highest-priced model with the most advanced features. Also foldable, they have the best noise-cancelling technology and audio quality.
It’s also worth noting that Sony has an upcoming collaboration with Hello Kitty. The brand hasn’t announced details yet, but you can sign up here to find out when information drops.
The Camp Snap 110 D has a retro ‘70s look and is ideal for those wanting to go analog, as it’s a screen-free, slim point-and-shoot camera. It has five built-in filters, the brand’s fastest shutter yet, a lockable memory door and a 4GB card that can hold approximately 2,000 photos, according to Camp Snap. The rechargeable camera also comes with a charging cable you can use to transfer media to your computer. The camera is available for pre-order now and will ship in late October.
JBL’s Cove speaker lineup aims to bring whole-home audio to every space. The Cove M1 suits everyday listening and is perhaps the most versatile of the lineup. The compact Wi-Fi home speaker delivers ultra-wide, detailed sound via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth streaming. It supports whole-home audio through the JBL One app and the brand’s “Music Follows Me” technology, which lets listeners move their music or TV audio from room to room with a press of a button. Also in the Cove line is the Cove P1, a portable speaker that can go from room to room or outdoors, and the Cove X1, which delivers bigger, richer sound. All three can be used in conjunction with one another or on their own.

Beauty launches
We’ve recommended Kiehl’s lip masks and lip balms in the past, so our skin care enthusiasts were especially excited to see this medicated lip product from the brand. It has 1 percent dimethicone, an FDA-approved over-the-counter ingredient to temporarily heal dry, chapped lips. The lip gel also combines glycerin, peptides and ectoin to hydrate your lips and prevent dryness all day, according to the brand.
Laneige officially made its debut in the under-eye patches category. They have melting spicules, which are tiny, needle-like structures that provide similar benefits to microneedling, as well as plant-derived PDRN to smooth fine lines, caffeine to reduce puffiness and niacinamide to brighten the under-eye area, according to the brand. The eye masks come in a travel-friendly tub, which includes a mini spatula to separate the patches (and lets you avoid touching them with your fingers).
Go Calm is the newest product from Reale Actives, influencer Alix Earle’s skin care brand specifically meant for acne-prone skin. The serum is made with 10 percent azelaic acid and hydrating ingredients like niacinamide and glycerin to help reduce redness and replenish moisture, according to the brand. Reale Actives also says it improves skin texture and fades the appearance of dark spots over time.
NBC Selected reporter Zoe Malin and associate social media editor Caitlin Cusack have been testing Go Calm for about two weeks (the brand sent them courtesy samples). “I love that the serum has a milky texture, which makes it more moisturizing than those with a watery or gel texture, in my opinion,” says Malin. “My skin drinks it up so I can quickly layer other products on top, and the pump bottle is so pretty, so I like leaving it out in my bathroom.”
The FDA recently approved a new sunscreen active ingredient, bemitrizinol, for the first time in more than 20 years. This month, Ultra Violette, one of our favorite Australian sunscreen brands, released the first sunscreen to feature the ingredient in the U.S. The brand had already formulated its SPFs globally with bemitrizinol for close to a decade because it’s white cast-free and widely considered one of the best active SPF ingredients for those with sensitive skin. Unblock Screen SPF 50 is non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog pores, and has a combination of actives that helps control oil and prevent breakouts, according to the brand.

With the Ember Mug 3, the brand fixed some of the biggest drawbacks NBC Selected editor Mili Godio noticed while trying older versions of the product. There are now controls on the self-heating mug so you’re not limited to using an app to adjust settings, which Godio says alleviates her app fatigue.
You just press the built-in button to cycle through five temperature options from 125 to 145 degrees Fahrenheit until you find the one you want. That said, you can connect the mug to the app via Bluetooth if you want to pick a temperature and save presets for specific drinks.
The Ember Mug 3’s battery also lasts longer than previous models, giving Godio up to three hours of coffee at her preferred heat temperature. It also comes with a charging coaster, which you can rest your mug on while you sip. The mug is available in 10- and 14-ounce options, is top-rack dishwasher safe and comes with a sliding lid.
Earlier this month, Le Creuset launched a line of Star Trek-themed Dutch ovens, braisers, baking dishes and other kitchen utensils in honor of the series’ 60th anniversary. The collection includes this 5.5-quart Dutch oven, as well as a Klingon-themed braiser, a Galileo Shuttlecraft-themed loaf pan, mugs and more. Similar to its usual Dutch ovens, this option is made from enamel-coated cast iron and is oven-safe, as well as safe to use on gas, electric and induction stovetops. The brand recommends washing it by hand only.
The CrossWave Reach Plus is Bissel’s newest two-in-one mop and vacuum. The appliance cleans liquid messes while also sucking up debris, like food crumbs and dust. It can lay flat (180 degrees) while cleaning, which allows you to reach under large furniture without having to move it. Plus, it has a self-cleaning dock that uses hot air to dry off the brush roll when it isn’t in use. It’s safe to use on most hard surfaces, including hardwood, tile and vinyl.
We often praise Breville for its ultra-popular espresso makers, but the kitchen appliance brand also has toasters worth knowing about. Most recently, the brand launched the Eye Q Auto Toaster, an advanced appliance that lets you toast to your ideal shade rather than time. Once you make a selection, the toaster uses sensors to monitor your food’s shade, automatically stopping when it reaches your chosen level. There’s also presets for different types of bread, like sourdough and bagels.
The toaster automatically lifts and lowers food to keep your hands away from heat elements, and there’s a “a bit more” mode for when you want a little extra browning, as well as a timer mode for warming snacks. You can buy the toaster with two or four slots.

The Dyson CameraJet is undoubtedly the fanciest electric toothbrush we’ve ever seen. The toothbrush has a built-in camera and AI technology that tracks your brushing, and it collects data and footage in the app as well as gives you custom insights to improve oral health.
In terms of cleaning your teeth, the toothbrush has pressure sensors and three intensity modes. It also acts as a water flosser, and you can choose to just brush, just floss or do both simultaneously. There’s also a brush wear monitor in the head, which alerts you when to replace it. You get up to 10 days of battery life with a full battery, according to Dyson.
Loop, known for its popular earplugs, has officially expanded beyond earwear with its first sleep mask, Eclipse. Its eye pads are made from soft foam that contours to your face, making it comfortable enough to wear all night while blocking out light. The mask has a hook-and-loop system on the back so it’s easy to adjust based on your comfort level. Plus, it’s washable ( just like the brand’s earplugs), so you can use it every day.

Family and kids launches
The standard and mini Yoto Players got a major upgrade this month. The biggest new feature for both is a button that acts as a shortcut to kids’ favorite Yoto Cards without needing the physical cards themselves — parents can make a playlist of content in the app and kids just press to play, while also using Yoto Cards when they want to access other audio. Yoto increased the players’ storage, improved the audio quality and made the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth compatibility even better. There’s new accessories to choose from, too.
As for differences between the standard and mini Yoto Players, the standard version is made with a new-and-improved, customizable, full-panel display. It has individually compatible pixels that, with future software updates, will sync color with audio, and the night light was redesigned with seven colors, adjustable brightness and modes like day, night and ok-to-wake. The mini version, on the other hand, is now water-resistant to make it even more durable when you’re on the go.
Bugaboo doesn’t often enter the designer-collab arena, which makes its limited-edition Stella McCartney collection feel genuinely notable. The Fox, Dragonfly and Butterfly strollers get the fashion treatment with monochromatic stitching, subtle logos and signature Stella details like chain accents and a dangling pendant. They’re definitely not for the price-conscious shopper, but our editors already love the strollers’ smooth push and easy one-handed fold, so we recommend checking them out.
Editorial director Lauren Swanson got to try out the new collection firsthand. “I see a lot of Bugaboo strollers walking around the Upper East Side in New York City, and this Stella collaboration fits right in,” she says. “As a new parent myself, I can say that the intentionality behind the collection makes the ordinary and practical feel really luxurious.”
Designed for kids ages five to 12, the face wash and cream duo are specifically formulated for their sensitive skin using squalane, vitamins, antioxidants and plant-based humectants. According to the brand, the products are approved by the nonprofit Environmental Working Group, which means they have passed the EWG’s strictest safety standards and are free of EWG’s chemicals of concern (like phthalates and parabens). Plus, they have a non-irritating and subtle watermelon hibiscus scent to help get kids excited to use them.
Baby skin is sensitive and can get irritated by all kinds of things — even drool. The digestive enzymes and constant wetness can lead to redness and bumps. That’s why Noodle & Boo just released a fragrance-free, hypoallergenic barrier cream for cheeks, chin, mouth and neck folds. It’s made with aloe, allantoin and vitamin E to soothe irritation, lock in moisture and protect delicate skin from everyday drool. The cream, which comes in a tube, is best for teething babies between the ages of four and 14 months, according to the brand.
