Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Book 6 lineup with an entry-level option starting at $799, positioning the device as an affordable Windows competitor to Apple’s MacBook Neo. First unveiled at CES earlier this year, the initial Galaxy Book 6 family debuted in March with base models starting at $1,050, followed by a premium Snapdragon X2 Elite configuration priced at $2,100 in June. This lower-cost variant significantly reduces the entry price for Samsung’s current laptop generation.

The new Galaxy Book 6 is powered by Intel Core 3 or Core 5 processors, depending on the tier and target market. Buyers can configure the notebook with either 8GB or 16GB of RAM, paired with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of solid-state storage. The laptop equips a 14-inch 1,920 x 1,200-pixel anti-glare display and offers up to 25 hours of battery life on a single charge, supported by 45W fast-charging capabilities. Physical I/O includes two USB Type-C ports, one USB Type-A port, an HDMI 1.4 connector, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

In line with recent PC industry trends, the laptop includes built-in artificial intelligence features such as AI Select for capturing on-screen content and Note Assist for summarizing text and highlighting critical information. The device also integrates into the broader Samsung Galaxy ecosystem, allowing fast cross-device file transfers and support for using a Galaxy Tab as a secondary wireless screen. The updated Galaxy Book 6 is available in select markets in standard Gray and a new Violet Silver colourway.
