Siri might finally be trading its “I found this on the web” responses for some actual intelligence. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing to unveil a revitalized Siri in late February, showcasing the first fruits of its high-profile partnership with Google. This “new” Siri will reportedly leverage Google Gemini to offer advanced, chatbot-style capabilities similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

The rollout is expected to follow a fast-tracked schedule starting with a public reveal of these Gemini-powered features in late February 2026. Shortly after this initial demonstration, the new capabilities are slated to enter beta testing within iOS 26.4 during that same month. If testing stays on track, the general public can expect to see these initial Siri improvements arrive in a stable release by March or early April 2026.
Apple has been promising a “next-gen” Siri since WWDC 2024, but the upcoming Campos update represents the true shift toward a conversational AI. Rather than just setting timers or playing music, this version of Siri is designed to behave like a sophisticated assistant with much deeper reasoning skills.
Thanks to the integration with Google’s Gemini, users can expect:
- Contextual Awareness: Improved memory of past interactions within a conversation.
- Complex Task Handling: The ability to synthesize information across multiple Apple apps.
- Natural Language Processing: A fluid conversational style that feels less like a script and more like a dialogue.
Following the February teaser, Apple is expected to go “all-in” at its annual developers’ conference in the summer of 2026. This grand reveal will officially debut the full version of Siri “Campos” alongside the next generation of Gemini-powered Apple Intelligence features. These updates are expected to be baked into the core of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, with developer betas arriving immediately after the summer keynote.
