Just one week after its debut at CES, NVIDIA is officially rolling out DLSS 4.5 to the public. Following a brief beta period, the full release is now available to all NVIDIA app users equipped with a GeForce RTX GPU. This update marks a rapid deployment of the company’s latest image-upscaling technology, moving quickly from announcement to widespread availability.

The update focuses heavily on DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, which introduces a second-generation Super Resolution Transformer. According to NVIDIA, this new model is its most advanced to date, trained on a significantly expanded, high-fidelity dataset using five times the compute power of the original transformer. These technical enhancements are designed to provide sharper visuals and improved temporal stability while reducing ghosting and refining anti-aliasing across a library of more than 400 games and applications.
Looking toward the spring, NVIDIA plans to further expand the capabilities of DLSS 4.5 with an upgraded frame generation feature tailored for the GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. This “Dynamic 6x Frame Generation” tool is engineered to produce up to five additional frames for every traditionally rendered one. The company claims this massive boost in efficiency will enable 4K 240Hz path-traced performance, representing a new benchmark for high-fidelity, real-time gaming.
