Tom Wilkinson, 75, died on Saturday, according to a statement from arepresentative.

Tom Wilkinson, best known for his award-winning role in “The Full Monty,” died Saturday at age 75, according to NBC News.

Wilkinson’s agent confirmed the news in a statement shared with the outlet.

“It is with great sadness that the family of Tom Wilkinson announce that he died suddenly at home on December 30th. His wife and family were with him,” the statement read. “The family asks for privacy at this time.”

Representatives for Wilkinson did not immediately respond to Business Insider’s request for comment made outside regular business hours.

Wilkinson garnered praise for playing Gerald Cooper in the 1997 film, “The Full Monty,” which scored him a BAFTA for supporting actor. He also appeared in “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” in 2004 and “The Grand Budapest Hotel ” in 2014.
