Samsung has officially refreshed its wearable lineup, unveiling the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro alongside the new Galaxy S26 series. Moving away from the experimental aesthetics of previous generations, the company has implemented a comprehensive redesign focused on ergonomic fit, professional-grade acoustics, and deeper AI integration. As is tradition, the most advanced features remain optimized for users within the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem.

The most striking change is the evolution of the “blade” stem. Samsung has ditched the angular, lighted accents of the previous model in favour of a sleek, flat metal panel. This area now features an engraved tactile zone, making pinch gestures easier to locate by touch. To improve comfort, Samsung analysed hundreds of millions of ear data points and conducted over 10,000 simulations to shrink the earbuds’ footprint. The standard Galaxy Buds 4 retain an open-fit design, while the Pro model utilizes a silicone tip to create a physical seal for superior isolation. Both models ship in a charging case featuring a signature transparent lid, though the earbuds now lay flat rather than standing vertically.
The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro feature a sophisticated two-way driver setup, headlined by a wider woofer for tighter, cleaner bass and a dedicated tweeter for natural treble. Both models support high-fidelity 24-bit/96kHz audio and multi-channel 360 Audio when paired with recent Samsung devices.
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) has also received a significant boost. Samsung promises specialized blocking for transit sounds, such as bus or airplane engines, alongside “everyday” environmental noise. The Pro model further distinguishes itself with:
- Adaptive ANC & EQ: Real-time adjustments based on your surroundings.
- Voice Detect: Automatically switches to Ambient Mode when it senses the user speaking.
- Siren Detect: A safety feature that bypasses ANC to ensure emergency alerts and sirens remain audible.
Taking a cue from high-end competitors, the Buds 4 Pro introduce head gestures, allowing users to manage calls or interact with assistants by simply nodding or shaking their head. Beyond Samsung’s own Bixby, the earbuds now serve as a hands-free gateway to Gemini and Perplexity, enabling voice-activated AI queries on the go.
The Galaxy Buds 4 ($180) and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro ($250) are available for pre-order starting today, with a wide retail release set for March 11. Both versions come in Black and White, with a “Pink Gold” variant available exclusively through Samsung’s online store.
