The beloved tower defence game Plants vs. Zombies is getting an HD remaster called Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted. Announced during a Nintendo Direct livestream, the game is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on October 23. This marks the first time a version of the original 2009 title will be available on a Nintendo console since the DS.

Replanted is more than just a graphical update. While the visuals have been upscaled to HD, EA has also included new levels and plenty of secrets for players to uncover. One of the most exciting additions is the inclusion of local co-op and PvP modes, a feature not found in many other versions of the game.
Preorders are now open, and players who get the game early will receive a retro Peashooter skin. Although the remaster is currently exclusive to Nintendo’s platforms, it’s highly likely to appear on other consoles and devices in the future.
