Oppo teases ‘zero-feel crease’ for upcoming Find N6 foldable

With the Oppo Find N6 launch just one week away, the company has released a new wave of teasers focusing on its breakthrough “crease-less” display technology. Oppo claims to have achieved the industry’s first “zero-feel crease,” a feat made possible by a sophisticated new hinge architecture and the debut of its proprietary Auto-Smoothing Flex Glass.

At the heart of the device is the 2nd-generation Titanium Flexion Hinge, which incorporates a pioneering liquid 3D-printed component. The manufacturing process begins with high-fidelity laser scanning to model every surface of the hinge for a perfect fit. This is followed by a liquid 3D-printing phase where photopolymer resin droplets fill microscopic uneven areas to eliminate structural irregularities. Each layer is then instantly hardened with UV light to create a seamless, durable structure. The hinge and wing plates themselves are crafted from Grade-5 titanium alloy, utilizing a wider “waterdrop” design that increases the folding radius to significantly reduce mechanical stress on the display panel.

Oppo is also addressing the phenomenon of “creep,” where internal display layers shift over time and cause the crease to deepen with age. To combat this, the Find N6 features Auto-Smoothing Flex Glass, a material that is 50% thicker than standard Ultra-Thin Glass. This added thickness provides superior elasticity and a much higher rate of shape recovery after the phone is unfolded.

The results of these innovations have been verified through independent testing with TÜV Rheinland. Data shows that long-term crease depth has been reduced by 82% compared to the previous Find N5. Furthermore, the display is rated to remain perfectly flat and crease-free even after 600,000 folds, positioning the Find N6 as a major leap in foldable durability and longevity.
