Asmara, 08 June 2024 – The YPFDJ organization in the Republic of South Sudan held its first congress in Wau on 1 June under the theme “I Am EPLF.”
Speaking at the event, Mr. Yohannes Teklemicael, Eritrea’s Ambassador to the Republic of South Sudan, called on the youth members of the 4th Front to equip themselves with the vision and stance of the EPLF, which realized the total victory of the country and safeguarding national sovereignty. He emphasized the importance of this vision for the successful implementation of national development programs. Ambassador Yohannes also urged the youth to align themselves with their counterparts inside Eritrea, who are at the forefront of safeguarding the national sovereignty and peace of their people. He concluded by wishing the congress success.
Mr. Romodan Ahmedin, head of Public and Community Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy, noted that Eritrean Diaspora youth organized in national organizations have been actively participating in countering external hostilities against their country and in presenting the true picture of Eritrea. He also called on the youth to equip themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills to play a significant role in national affairs.
The Congress elected a new executive committee and expressed its readiness to strengthen organizational capacity and participation in national affairs.
