Honda is set to unveil its first electric motorcycle with fast-charging capabilities on September 16, as teased in a new video on the company’s UK Instagram page. The video shows the camouflaged e-motorcycle being tested on European streets, hinting at its likely regional availability. This announcement is part of Honda’s larger plan to release “10 or more” new e-motorcycle models by 2025.

While the new motorcycle is covered in black and white camouflage in the teaser, it appears to share a strong resemblance to the “EV Fun Concept” that Honda introduced at the EICMA 2024 motorcycle trade show. That concept was designed to have performance “equivalent to a mid-sized internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycle” and was built to support CCS2 quick chargers, a fast-charging standard in Europe.
Leaning on fast charging is a strategic move for Honda, as it can help address potential range issues in e-motorcycles, which have less space for batteries than electric cars. The EV Fun Concept also boasted a cruising range of “over 100km.” More details, including specific technical specifications, are expected to be revealed during the official announcement on September 16.
