Google is rolling out an update for Gmail on both mobile and the web that introduces new features to help users track their online purchases. The most significant change is a new Purchases tab, which organizes all your delivery-related emails into a single, convenient location. You can access this new view from the side menu in the mobile app.

Even with the new tab, Gmail will still display upcoming deliveries as cards at the top of your primary inbox. These cards include “See item” or “Track Package” buttons, allowing you to quickly check the status of a delivery without having to search for the original email. The Purchases tab is now rolling out to all personal Gmail accounts.
In addition to the new delivery features, Google is also updating the Promotions tab. The new version will allow you to sort emails by “most relevant,” with Gmail’s algorithm determining which brands and offers are most important to you based on your past interactions. The platform will also send out “nudges” to alert you to upcoming deals and offers that are about to expire. These changes to the Promotions tab are expected to be available in the coming weeks.
