Amazon; Walmart; Insider
Black Friday 2023 is happening right now, and that means record discounts on hundreds of different products — including AirPods, Apple’s wildly popular and stylish headphones. These Black Friday AirPods deals include sales on all four models, so no matter your preference, you’re saving money.
These deals include a great $60 discount on the AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) with USB charging. We’re also impressed by a rare $100 deal on the AirPods Max, which brings a pair of these premium over-ear headphones down to a much more reasonable price. You can learn more about Apple’s entire headphone lineup in our guide to the best AirPods.
These Black Friday deals will last at least until midnight on November 24, but there’s no guarantee that they’ll stay active after that. Apple AirPods Black Friday FAQs
Is Black Friday a good time to buy AirPods?
Yes! Black Friday is the biggest shopping event of the year because so many different items go on sale — and there’s no exception for AirPods. The sales in this article are likely the best you’re going to find on new AirPods until next year.
What’s the difference between AirPods, AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max?
As of this writing, Apple sells four different versions of the AirPods.
The AirPods (2nd generation) and AirPods (3rd generation) are the standard earbud models. They cost the least — starting at $130 and $170, respectively. The newer 3rd generation has better audio quality, a clearer microphone, more realistic spatial audio, longer battery life, and protection from dust and water. Check out our AirPods (2nd Gen) review and AirPods (3rd Gen) review for more details on each.
The AirPods Pro (2nd generation) are the next step up. They start at $250 and feature everything that the standard models do, but also active noise cancellation that lets you block harsh or loud external sounds while you’re wearing them. The earbuds themselves are also shorter, and new models use a case that charges with a USB-C cable instead of a Lightning cable like the older models. Read our AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) review for detailed impressions.
Finally, the AirPods Max is the high-end option, starting at $550. Instead of earbuds, the Max is a set of wireless over-ear headphones that come in a variety of colors. It includes the same active noise cancellation as the AirPods Pro, but also more microphones and longer battery life — Apple claims a pair of AirPods Max can last for up to 20 hours, compared to the AirPods Pro’s six hours.
