Keren, 05 June 2024 – The annual festival of the students of Hamelmalo College of Agriculture concluded on 31 May under the theme “We Freely Give What We Received Freely.”
At the event, in which Ambassador Abdella Musa, Governor of Anseba Region, took part, Prof. Woldeamlak Araya, Dean of the college, emphasized the importance of the festival in nurturing disciplined and conscious youth alongside regular education. Prof. Woldeamlak noted that the festival significantly contributes to helping students identify and develop their talents.
Mr. Abel Yohannes, Head of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students in the college, stated that the festival is annually organized in cooperation with the union branch of Higher Education Institutions. The festival includes sports, cultural, educational, as well as innovation and creativity competitions.
Ambassador Abdella Musa, commending the organizers of the festival, highlighted that the research initiatives presented will significantly contribute to the development of agricultural programs. He also called for transforming these initiatives into practical actions.
At the event, awards were handed out to the winners of various competitions.
