CMF, the budget-focused sub-brand of Nothing, has officially unveiled its debut entry into the portable audio market with two milk carton-shaped Bluetooth speakers: the CMF Speaker S and CMF Speaker M. Retailing globally at $59 (approx. R1,030) and $109 (approx. R1,910) respectively, both devices combine playful industrial aesthetics with high-grade hardware specifications.

Offered in vibrant Orange, Turquoise, and White colourways, the speakers feature customizable cover plates and functional control knobs that manage volume, track skipping, and rewinding. A dedicated corner cutout allows users to attach carabiners for bags or outdoor gear. Following open-source design practices, CMF will also publish 3D design files online, allowing users to print custom handles and secondary attachments.
Despite their compact footprints, both models feature robust acoustic architecture:
- CMF Speaker S: Housing a 45mm full-range driver paired with dual passive radiators for low-end reinforcement.
- CMF Speaker M: A larger, double-height unit equipped with a 10W tweeter, dual mid-range drivers, two speaker outlets, and a dedicated 25W woofer.
Both models offer Bluetooth 6.0 wireless connectivity, IP68 dust and water resistance ratings, and an estimated battery life of up to 18 hours per charge. The USB-C port handles both charging duty and wired digital audio input. Additional feature highlights include NFC pairing, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, and Auracast support.
Users can link two identical units into a stereo pair (Speaker S with S, or M with M). However, cross-model pairing between an S and an M is not supported. Note that neither model ships with an included USB-C cable in the box.
