Anthropic has introduced live data dashboards and animated video creation tools to its Claude AI platform, alongside pushing its document, presentation, and design applications into general availability. The updates signal a strategic shift for the AI developer, transforming its chatbot into a comprehensive productivity suite that directly competes with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and business intelligence platforms like Tableau and Power BI.

The primary addition, Claude Dashboards, integrates directly with major enterprise data warehouses and CRM systems, including Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks, Snowflake, and Salesforce. Operating via natural-language prompts, Claude automatically writes database queries, builds visual charts, and maintains real-time dashboard updates as underlying metrics change.
To address accuracy concerns and hallucination risks, each chart displays its raw query behind the visual, allowing analysts to audit how figures were produced. Dashboards can also be exported to analytics platforms like Amplitude, Grafana, Hex, and Mixpanel, with support for Looker, monday.com, and Tableau to follow. Currently in beta across all paid plans, the feature requires administrator enablement on Enterprise accounts.
Complementing the analytics push, Claude Motion allows users to transform text prompts into short, animated explainers, such as condensing a quarterly report into a 30-second presentation, exportable as MP4 files. Unlike generative video models like OpenAI’s Sora or Google’s Veo, Claude Motion generates execution code that animates structured text, charts, shapes, and images without producing synthetic footage or artificial human figures. Output files can be edited in a built-in editor or exported to creative tools from Adobe, Descript, Runway, and Luma AI. Motion is available in beta on Team and Enterprise plans.
Simultaneously, Anthropic has transitioned Claude Docs, Slides, and Design out of testing to all tiers, including the free plan. The workspace tools gain real-time team collaboration, mobile editing capabilities, customer-managed encryption keys, and enhanced exports to Microsoft PowerPoint, PDF, and Google Slides.
The additions carry no separate pricing, counting directly against existing plan usage allowances. The rollout intensifies the ongoing contest for enterprise market share between Anthropic and OpenAI, where workplace productivity has superseded consumer chatbots as a primary revenue driver. The expansion also adds nuance to Anthropic’s relationship with partner Microsoft, which utilizes Claude models within its Copilot ecosystem while selling competing office software.
