Google has unveiled a comprehensive suite of new software features arriving on Android this September, headlined by an AI-powered expansion of the Find Hub platform. Designed to help users keep track of misplaced personal belongings without needing physical Bluetooth tracking tags or extra hardware accessories, the update allows individuals to instruct the Gemini assistant to record item locations directly.

Users can simply issue voice prompts specifying where items such as passports, documents, or spare keys are stored, attach reference photos for visual confirmation, and later query Gemini or open Find Hub to retrieve exact location details. The capability will roll out to devices running Android 16 and newer across regions where Gemini and Find Hub are supported.
For devices running Android 17, Google is introducing Motion Assist, a specialized software tool engineered to reduce vehicle motion sickness for passengers looking at their phone screens while traveling. The system projects a customizable, transparent overlay featuring small, animated bubbles that move dynamically in sync with vehicle motion, effectively bridging the sensory gap between visual feedback on the display and physical motion. Users can customize bubble shape, colour, and opacity, set automatic vehicle-detection triggers, or toggle the feature via Quick Settings.

Simultaneously, Google is releasing Guided Vision for devices running Android 9 and newer in Gemini-supported regions. Tailored specifically for blind and visually impaired users, the accessibility tool enables real-time camera sharing through Gemini Live. The AI assistant can describe surroundings, read menus and product labels out loud, or help locate specific physical objects in a room, with launching supported via dedicated TalkBack menu integration or accessibility shortcuts.
Google Messages is also receiving functional and aesthetic upgrades starting today. A new Google Keep integration allows users to share live, interactive notes and shopping lists directly within text conversations, enabling all chat participants to view, edit, and update shared lists collaboratively in real time. Additionally, Google has introduced custom conversation themes, giving users granular control to personalize bubble colours and background wallpapers for individual text threads.
