Star Wars fans at The Game Awards received a double dose of announcements, including the reveal of Star Wars: Galactic Racer. This new racing title from Fuse Games, a studio founded by veterans of the Burnout and Need for Speed franchises, will feature both podracing and speeder racing. The game is slated for release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2026.

The game’s narrative is set in the Outer Rim following the fall of the Empire. As the galaxy reconstructs, an unsanctioned, underground racing circuit called the Galactic League emerges. According to the game’s Steam page, this is where “syndicates bankroll chaos and champions are forged.”
Galactic Racer employs a run-based structure, meaning a single destruction of your vehicle could result in a “game over.” The high-speed action unfolds across a variety of environments, including both well-known and entirely new Star Wars planets. Races will feature branching routes, and players will unlock new abilities to aid them on each run.
The game will include a story-driven single-player campaign alongside dedicated PvP (Player vs. Player) modes. Furthermore, players will have the ability to customize their vehicles.
