Samsung has announced that its new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, is now available in South Africa. The device, which was unveiled in May 2025, is a slimmed-down version of the S25 Ultra, designed to offer premium features in a more compact form factor. The Galaxy S25 Edge is available for a recommended retail price of R24,999 and can be purchased from Samsung’s partner retailers and mobile network operators.

At just 5.8mm thick and weighing 163 grams, the S25 Edge is 30% thinner and 25% lighter than the S25 Ultra. Despite its slender design, it includes high-end features like a titanium frame and the latest Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 for enhanced durability. The phone’s curved edges add to its sleek aesthetic.
The S25 Edge features a dual-camera system, highlighted by a 200MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens. Samsung says the 200MP lens takes “Nightography to a new level,” with a 40% improvement in brightness for low-light photos. The camera system also includes the ProVisual Engine from the Galaxy S25 series, offering pro-grade enhancements for sharp and detailed images.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the Galaxy S25 Edge also comes with a suite of Galaxy AI features, including Audio Eraser and Drawing Assist. Customers who get the smartphone on a contract between September 1 and September 30, 2025, will also receive six months of Google AI Pro for free, a value of over R2,500.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is available in the Titanium Jetblack color. For those who prefer a contract, deals start from R999 per month over three years through partner mobile networks in South Africa.

As an added incentive, customers who purchase the S25 Edge on contract in September can add either the Galaxy Tab S10 FE 5G for an extra R299 per month or the Galaxy Watch8 Classic LTE for R129 per month.
The smartphone can be purchased from major retailers like Vodacom, Cell C, Incredible Connection, FNB, Takealot, and Samsung’s official stores.
