Hello! I’m Henry Blodget.
I’m the cofounder and executive chair of Business Insider. I’ve worked here for 16 years. I was CEO and editor in chief for the first eight and just CEO for the second eight. I also did a bunch of stuff before that, which you can read about here.
I’m writing a series of articles about success (and failure) at work. It’s called:
MAKE IT HAPPEN! A field guide to the working world for Gen Z and beyond.
A list of the individual stories is below.
In the series, I am addressing questions and challenges that I’ve seen, heard, and faced during my ~35 years in the workforce.
I’m also taking questions from readers! So please feel free to send me yours at [email protected]. These can be about any work-related situations that you or your colleagues are dealing with. I won’t respond individually, but I’ll pick some questions to address in future columns. Thank you in advance for sharing.
I’ve never been a work-advice columnist, career counselor, or HR executive before, so I apologize in advance if my advice is crappy. What I have done is work as an individual contributor, manager, and leader at many different organizations. I’ve also been a business journalist, analyst, and career-observer for decades.
My hope is that, by sharing some of my experiences and perspectives, I can help you be more successful and satisfied at whatever job or career you choose.
Thank you for reading!
