Samsung announces Galaxy Buds FE with stem design and AI

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Buds 3 FE, a new set of Fan Edition earbuds that feature a stemmed design similar to Apple’s popular AirPods. This design change brings the FE model in line with the higher-end Galaxy Buds 3, which launched last year. The new earbuds promise improved sound, enhanced active noise cancellation (ANC), and an IP54 rating for resistance to dust and rain.

For audio, the Buds 3 FE offer 6 hours of listening time with ANC on, extending to 24 hours with the charging case. With ANC off, a single charge provides 8.5 hours of listening, and up to 30 hours with the case. Talk time is rated at 4 hours, which can be extended to 18 hours with case recharging.

The earbuds are also designed for seamless integration with Samsung’s Galaxy AI features. Users can activate conversation mode with Gemini or the Galaxy AI Interpreter app for real-time translation with a simple “Hey Google” voice command or a long press.

The Galaxy Buds 3 FE will be available in black and grey, with a starting price of $149.99. They are set to launch in the U.S. on September 4th.
